Auburn Soccer will go on the road one final time during the 2016 regular season, beginning this evening. #11 Auburn (11-4, 6-1) will take their 6-game winning streak to Baton Rouge, to face LSU tonight at 6 P.M. LSU is coming off of a 1-0 win over Mississippi State on the road. Before that, the Bayou Bengals had lost 5 consecutive conference matches. In their win over Mississippi State, forward Jorian Baucom scored the lone goal in the 59th minute, unassisted. Baucom is the team leader in goals with 10 and has 20 points overall. Next on the list, is Delaney Sheehan with three goals. Auburn will then trek to College Station on Sunday, to battle Texas A&M. The Aggies (7-7-1, 2-5-1) are currently riding a six-match winless streak. Prior to facing Auburn on Sunday, Texas A&M will meet Kentucky at home on Thursday. Junior forward Haley Pounds is the player to watch for Texas A&M, she leads the team in goals with 6, points with 17, and assists with 5. Auburn has won six conference matchups in a row, their last was a 3-2 decision at home to Arkansas. The win gave Auburn sole possession of second place in the SEC standings. Brooke Ramsier, Casie Ramsier, and Kristen Dodson netted goals for Auburn. As for Auburn Soccer, they are celebrating a few accomplishments that they earned last weekend. The Tigers have won seven conference games this season, which is the fifth time in school history that has happened. If Auburn were to pick up a win this weekend, it would be the first time since 2004 that a soccer team from Auburn has won 9 conference games. For the fourth consecutive week, an Auburn Tiger has picked up a weekly honor. Casie Ramsier was selected as the SEC Offensive Player of the Week after netting the game-clinching goal in last Friday’s win over Arkansas. Auburn faces LSU this evening a 6 P.M., and Texas A&M on Sunday at 6 P.M.
